WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM A THERAPY SESSION?

During sessions you talk about the challenges you are facing and we explore them together to help you understand how experiences, thoughts, and emotions affect those challenges. Sessions are 50 minutes, and extended sessions are available upon request. I often ask questions, provide feedback or suggestions, and suggest activities to complete during the week (i.e. books to read or trying out a new behavior)


HOW OFTEN AND HOW LONG DO WE NEED TO MEET?

It is difficult to answer how long we should meet.  It depends on what issue(s) are addressed and what your goals are for therapy. In my experience, therapy is most productive when it is conducted weekly, especially for the first few months. This weekly consistency helps establish a solid therapist-client relationship, which has shown to have a positive correlation with improved outcomes in therapy.


HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Therapy sessions are billed at $180 for individual sessions, and $200 for couples therapy.   I have a limited number of reduced fee slots for clients in financial need. Please contact me to discuss.


CAN I USE INSURANCE?

I do not accept health insurance at this time.  However, you may be eligible for reimbursement of some or all of the fee if you have “out of network benefits.”  Please contact your insurance company to inquire whether or not you have these benefits.
