Hi, I'm Matt.  I am a licensed psychotherapist (MFT 52060), and I graduated with a Masters in Counseling from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

My world view is based on compassion, curiosity, and the human capacity to overcome adversity and grow.  I'm a bay area transplant, who has lived in in the south and midwest.  I understand how the challenges of today's society, and specificity that of the Bay Area, can affect our lives and relationships.

In addition to my training and experience, my approach is influenced by my meditation practice.  I have practiced Vipassana Insight Meditation for the past 7 years, and I have been trained to teach Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.  From meditation, I support clients to explore truly being present while meeting each moment with kindness and wisdom.
